ON-LINE LEARNING
The Online course is administered through our E-Learning Platform, a virtual community where all the academic activities of the International Course on Retina and Vitreous take place. This is an exclusive space for students to improve their virtual learning experience. The platform gives students access to online and offline classes, PDF files of the talks given, additional course material mid-term and final evaluations, etc. Full access to all platform contents is available 24/7 until the course finishes. Students will also have access to a “FORUM” where they can raise questions on academic issues, share experiences or clinical cases they wish to discuss with colleagues and experts. The aim of the FORUM is for students and faculty to exchange opinions and experiences. Additionally, Dr. Jimena Rojas –General Course Coordinator, will attend to any academic questions and issues that arise in the Forum.

EVALUATION METHODOLOGY
The RetinAir course is made up of 25 modules, divided into 4 sections. Each section is assessed individually through a mid-term exam, which includes every module in each section. Thus, there will be 4 mid-term exams throughout the course. Additionally, there will be a final exam, which will include all the contents given throughout the course. All exams will be administered online through our e-learning platform.
Evaluations are independent of one another and hold no correlation whatsoever among them. Therefore, students are enabled to access the platform and take the exams any time throughout the course. This allows students to plan their own schedule based on their needs, organize their own assessment and take the exams at their best convenience, within the timeframes of the course.
Each mid-term exam will have 30 multiple-choice questions and students will have 45 minutes to complete the exam from the moment they sign in. Passing grade requires a minimum of 18 correct answers. Students will have 2 attempts per exam, and if they were to fail both an additional fee will be charged in order to take the exam once again. Students are strongly advised to review the contents of each section and modules before taking any exams.
The final exam will be administered on a specific day and time. Students will be notified in advance so that they can make the necessary arrangements. The final exam will have 60 multiple-choice questions and students will have 90 minutes to complete the exam from the moment they sign in.
NOTICE: IT IS MANDATORY FOR STUDENTS TO HAVE PASSED ALL 4 MID-TERM EVALUATIONS IN ORDER TO TAKE THE FINAL EXAM
