International course on Retina & Vitreous
RetinAir is the first International Retina Course offered jointly by the Argentine Society of Retina and Vitreous (SARyV); the Brazilian Society of Retina and Vitreous (SBRV); the Colombian Association of Retina and Vitreous (ACOREV); the Mexican Retina Association (AMR); the Bolivian Retina Society (SBR); and the Retina and Vitreous Association of Uruguay (ARVU).
It is aimed to every ophthalmologist who has a special interest on the field of retina, and to every physician regardless of their field who wishes to expand their knowledge in this area.
The course addresses topics related to basic and applied scientific research, and medical and surgical retina, endowing ophthalmologists with the essential tools needed to effectively treat retinal pathologies.

RetinAir is an ongoing annual course with a course load of 200 hours. Since RetinAir does not have a specific start date, students can register at any moment and start taking the classes of each module on a regular basis completing the contents of the whole program.
Over 120 retina specialists of great renown, exclusively devoted to medical and surgical retina, as well as to applied and molecular research, take part in RetinAir. Footage of every talk is recorded and uploaded to our e-learning platform, accessible for students 24/7 all year round. The online platform also gives students access to course material (PDF files of talks, clinical cases, files, links, images, videos, scientific publications, etc.). It also allows students to take the online mid-term and final exams, and to ask questions about academic issues which will be addressed by Dr. Jimena Rojas –General Course Coordinator, and by our faculty.
It is worth mentioning that the course does not grant a Retina Specialist certification, nor is it a Master‘s Degree in Retina and Vitreous.
